GreenCuke Farms is seeking a Production Intern to support our production planning and operations in Tamale. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural production while contributing to our mission of empowering rural communities and enhancing food security in Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will support the production team in the following areas:
- Assist in site identification and selection for cucumber production.
- Conduct community mobilization and sensitization activities.
- Profile interested farmers for cucumber production initiatives.
- Collect relevant production data from farmers to inform feasibility studies and production strategies.
- Support data analysis and assist in preparing summary reports.
- Assist in farmer selection and development of a farmer engagement database.
- Facilitate MOU signings with selected farmers.
- Support the procurement and distribution of agricultural inputs.
- Submit regular activity reports to the supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the production team.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Strong community mobilization and engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
- Passion for agriculture and rural development is a plus.
